Title: Song of the Sky
Mangaka: Kozue Amano
Publisher: m&c!
Publication year: 2011
Language: Bahasa Indonesia

Song of the Sky is the second short stories collection by Kozue Amano. In this manga, her artwork has improved a lot since World of Dreams. Her drawing style in this manga resembles her drawing style in Aria. She also brings out some stunning landscape artworks. Compared to World of Dreams, I like this collection a lot more.

World of Dreams is a short stories collection by Kozue Amano. She’s known for her other work, Aria. This collection consists of her works from way before Aria though. It’s noticeable that the artwork or the drawing style in this manga is different from the drawing style in Aria. I think the artwork in Aria is stunning, especially the landscape. But I didn’t see much of it in this collection.

Cool Bookish Podcasts Worth Listening to

No comments :

I’m developing a new habit recently, which is listening to podcast. It’s free, easy, and practical because I can get new information while I’m doing anything else. I can listen to podcast anytime and anywhere I like. I can stream each episode, or download it so I can listen to it later (in case I won’t have any internet connection). The type of information that I can listen to also varies since there’s already a lot of podcast providers that specialize in specific topic. So in this post, I wanna talk about that and share several podcasts that I’ve been listening to.

Title of Book : Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares

Publisher : Knopf Books for Young Readers

“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”
So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?
Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own.

[Review] Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn

Title of Book : Gone Girl
Author : Gillian Flynn
Publisher : Crown Publishing Group

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife's head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media--as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents--the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter--but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn't do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet?

Reading challenges! yes, I love me some reading challenges! I'm aware that I failed last year's reading challenge. But I'm gonna do it this year anyway. Because participating in a reading challenge is one of the ways to push myself to read more.
I've chosen several reading challenges that interest me and coherent with my reading resolutions. So here they are:

Favorite Books of 2014

2014 has passed and it was a good reading year for me. I read quite a lot and some of them turn to be my favorites. So in this post, I want to show you my favorite books of 2014. These books don't necessarily published in 2014 but I read it in 2014. Also, the books in this list are in no particular order.

2014 Reading Challenges Wrap-Up Post

No comments :

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had such a wonderful year. I had. So, okay, umm.. honestly I hesitated to write a reading challenge wrap-up post this year. Firstly, because the amount of reading challenges that I participated is not as many as I did in 2013. I only participated in two reading challenges. Second, because I fail. Badly. Horribly. I didn't read even one book required for a particular challenge. What a shame. I thought, the reason is because last year I had to finish my undergraduate thesis and then I had to deal with a lot of administration requirements to graduate. But the fact that I managed to pass my goodreads challenge makes me realize, maybe I'm that person who's easily distracted by another good book recommendations or I'm just a procrastinator.
